From your first message to delivered files
How a project with us works
You do not need a specification to start. A few plain sentences and a photo are enough. This page shows what happens after you write to us, step by step, so you know what to expect and what we need from you.
The journey, in motion
From idea to prototype

WARNING ENGINEERING // THE JOURNEY // 01 OF 15
Your idea
A sketch and a few sentences are enough. Nothing has to be finished.
Fifteen scenes, about 80 seconds, then it starts again.
Before you write
Five questions. Your own words.
- What should it do? Two or three sentences, as if telling a friend.
- Who will use it, and where?
- What do you already have? Photos, a sketch, an old prototype, files.
- When do you need it, and roughly what budget?
- What is the one thing that must work?
Please write this yourself. We would rather read your words, even with mistakes, than a document written by AI. Short is better.
Already have a long specification? Attach it as a file and still answer the five questions yourself.

What happens after you write
You write to us
About 5 minutes- You
- Email, WhatsApp, the form or a call. Answer the five questions above in your own words. Photos, sketches and files help.
- We
- Everything you send is confidential from your first message, with nothing to sign. If you prefer a signed agreement, you can sign our mutual NDA online.
We reply
1 business day- You
- Answer our questions, or pick a time for a call.
- We
- An engineer reads your message and replies with the questions we still have, or invites you to a call. This is the start of the conversation, not an instant quote.
A free call, if useful
20 minutes- You
- Tell us about the project in your words. Bring your toughest problem.
- We
- We listen first and read documents afterwards. We ask the one question that sets the price: do you need something to show investors, a tested prototype, or files a factory can build from?
The offer
A few business days- You
- Read it, ask questions, choose an option.
- We
- A PDF with the scope, options at fixed prices, every milestone with its own price and duration, our own realistic timeline, the terms and the questions still open. For hardware projects the first milestone is a short specification study at a fixed price, credited in full to the next stage.
Kickoff
One call or email- You
- Confirm the specification and pay the first half of the first milestone.
- We
- Until sign-off, requirements stay open. After it, the written specification is locked and is the single reference for scope and acceptance. We set up the project channel and invite your team.
The work, milestone by milestone
Timeline in the offer- You
- Review each delivery within five business days and send one combined list of feedback, each point tied to a requirement.
- We
- Each milestone is paid half before it starts and half on delivery. One design cycle per deliverable is included. Decisions are made in writing, and messages are answered within one business day. Larger projects include a weekly 30-minute check-in call.
Delivery and after
Support on request- You
- Receive the final file package. Order the build from us, or take the files anywhere.
- We
- Designs, source files and firmware become yours on final payment. A design error on our side is fixed free under the workmanship guarantee. Questions and changes after delivery are billed hourly or through a pre-paid support block.
The details above follow our published terms of engagement and confidentiality terms. Where an accepted offer says something different, the offer applies.
Common questions
Before you ask
Do I need a specification?
No. The five questions and a photo are enough to start. The specification is written together during the first stage and locked at kickoff.
Can I send a document written by an AI tool?
Yes, attach it as a file. Then tell us which points you decided yourself and which ones the tool added. Your own points are requirements. The rest we treat as open, so you are not paying for details nobody asked for.
Do I need an NDA first?
No. Everything you send is confidential from the first message under our Confidentiality Terms. If you prefer a signed agreement, our mutual NDA can be signed online in a few minutes.
How do you price?
Fixed prices per milestone, or hourly work reported weekly with an itemised time log. You see the price of every milestone before you commit to anything.
What if my budget is small?
We scope the work to a piece that fits your number, quote it at a fixed price, and list everything else as separately priced extras. You decide what to add and when.
Where do you build?
Our engineers are in Sofia, Bulgaria, in the EU. PCB fabrication, assembly, moulding, CNC machining and parts sourcing are services we offer, managed by us at our facilities in China. Ordering the build from us is optional. The files are yours to take anywhere.
How fast do you answer?
Written messages are answered within one business day, Monday to Friday. We work asynchronously so that engineering hours go into engineering.
What happens if I go quiet for a while?
If a project is paused or we hear nothing for 20 business days, it is closed: finished work is invoiced, files for paid milestones are delivered, and it can be reopened later as a new engagement.
