The quick way to power something from USB: the adapter breaks the USB plug's VBUS and GND out to a two-position screw terminal, so bare wires (up to ~1.5 mm²) can be connected and disconnected with a screwdriver. Useful on the bench, for LED strips, fans and prototypes powered from a USB charger or power bank. Power pins only – no data.
