Hands-free rework: a magic arm holds the hot-air gun, six posts hold the board
Desoldering a QFN or BGA with a hot-air gun in one hand and tweezers in the other is where boards get damaged. This stand fixes the gun in place: the ball-joint magic arm locks at any angle with one knob, the clamp accepts handles up to 55 mm, and the gun stays exactly where you aimed it while you work. The board sits on six steel-and-ceramic posts that slide into slots on the 150 ร 150 mm steel plate, so odd-shaped PCBs and boards with tall parts on the underside are held flat and level. In the box: 150 ร 150 mm powder-coated steel plate, 160 mm aluminium articulated arm with gun clamp, six ceramic support posts. A larger version (290 ร 180 mm plate, 300 mm arm) is available on request.
